CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND ALCHOHOL?

We have a list of preferred caterers that offer discounts for events in our venue.

We’re happy to provide you with their information when you book the ballroom for your next event.

If you bring your own caterer, they need to provide their license and insurance for catering.

All bar packages must be with The Shapiro Ballroom. We do allow you to bring in your own liquor and items. Bar packages available on request

HOW LATE CAN THE PARTY GO?

All of our full day rentals are 12 hours with latest music off time at 1am. Special events can be scheduled at your preferred time. All rentals after 1am are subject to an additionally hourly fee.

You are able to extend your party day of or add it to your contract previously.

WHAT VENDORS CAN I WORK WITH?

We have a full list of preferred event vendors that give our clients a discount that you have access to but you are welcome to use any vendors you would like with the exception of table and chair rentals. We have an exclusive rentals so they must all be handled through the venue. A fee can be paid to go through a 3rd party. Please ask one of our venue coordinators for more information.

We also have professional event coordinators on staff, I Do Events Chicagoland, to assist you in any way you need!

CAN I HAVE MY CEREMONY HERE?

Absolutely! There is no additional charge with our wedding packages!

You can have your ceremony in our front room and move to the back for your cocktail hour as you vendors flip your room into the reception of your dreams!

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN OUR VENUE RENTAL?

We have two large rooms with 20 foot ceilings and exposed brick!

Our front room is 4,000 square feet and the back room is 1,000 square feet.

You are able to flip the space to have your ceremony and wedding reception in our front room during your cocktail hour.

We have (9) 6ft x 30in tables, (9) highboys/cafe style tables (can be 2 different heights depending on your needs for your event), (2) 48in rounds, (2) bars and (200) chairs

These items can be used as a part of your event space rental or can be moved out entirely to bring in your own items.

We also have an inventory of other decorative items such as; votive holders, vases, frames, etc that you have access to for no additional cost.

CAN I HANG STUFF UP?

Absolutely!

Due to the height of our ceilings if you want to suspend anything such as drapery or chandeliers we do require it be from a licensed professional due to liability reasons.
